YOUTH Online Class with CD and Producer Alexis Allen Winter

This is a special class for ages 11-17 with Artios Winner Alexis Allen Winter.

Alexis Allen Winter, CSA, is a Los Angeles based Casting Director and Producer. She currently has multiple projects in development and production. Previous YA projects include To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting.
Our Youth Industry Workshop Program is an extension of the Kids & Teens Division at Actors Comedy Studio (ACS). Workshops are open to all young actors ages 11-17. Our Kids & Teens Division is headed by ACS Co-Founder and on-set Studio Teacher/Welfare Worker Lauren Bertoni, and supported by arts educator, audition coach and working actor Tiffany Berube. Lauren and Tiffany provide a supportive, nurturing environment for all of their students and are invested in helping them navigate the entertainment industry. More about our guest, Alexis Allen Winter:

Alexis began casting in Wilmington, NC in 2007 on One Tree Hill. She has since worked all over the southeast before moving to Los Angeles in 2012 where she worked in such offices as Laray Mayfield, Rich Delia, Courtney Bright and Nicole Daniels, Tamara Notcutt, Gail Goldberg, and Sheila Jaffe. Alexis won an Artios in 2020 for her work as a casting associate on To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.
She has since focused on the creative side of producing by attaching talent with presale value to projects to help with financing and distribution. Her work in casting has screened and won awards across multiple international film festivals such as Tribeca, Woodstock Film Festival, Deauville, Fargo Film Festival, Mannheim-Heidelberg International, Pendance, Dances With Films, Sao Paulo Film Festival, Centre Film Festival, and more.

Format Note: This class will take place entirely online via Zoom.

You will receive an email with the Zoom link at least 2 hours before class start time.

Sides Note: Prepared Reads – Choose Your Own Sides

Prepare any scene that has been pre-approved (or listed in the TEEN section on our Workshop Sides page). Your scene must not run longer than 3 minutes. You will perform your scene with our reader. Check out our FAQ’s page for more information on what material is allowed.

Prepare your scene as you would for a real audition! Actors will perform their sides one-on-one with the reader to help better train for real world conditions.  They will receive customized notes and feedback from Alexis, and then run selected sections again to incorporate the educational instruction. Be sure to bring in your questions about the industry!
