Teen Comedy Essentials

Learn How to Work in TV Comedy!

Learn, play and connect online in Teen Comedy Essentials (ages 11 and up). This fun and insightful six-week course will start you on a path toward a career in Hollywood. Teen Comedy Essentials culminates in an exclusive Network Overview class with Studio Executive and Producer Irene Dreayer. Irene has produced multiple series on Disney, Nickelodeon and ABC Family.

Lauren will help you find the funny in comedy scripts, navigate the TV Industry and deliver your best on-camera performance. Irene will offer inside information on what it takes to book the room! All students receive a 10-minute career consultation upon completion of this course. Teen Comedy Essentials is an age-appropriate adaptation of our adult Comedy Essentials course that will give you powerful tools you will use throughout your lifetime.

Develop Characters & Break Down Scripts Like the Pros!

Lauren will teach you world class script analysis that lays the foundation for outstanding auditions. Writers and producers hire actors, not casting directors. You’ll never submit an audition with doubts about the material again!

Should you start here? Probably! Teen Comedy Essentials is exactly the right place for new actors to start but also challenges those with moderate training.

In Addition, You’ll Learn:

➥ Our iCAMERA method of Comedic Script Analysis

➥ Introduction to the The Heroes of Comedy

➥  Cold Reading Technique

➥  The difference between co-star, guest-star, recurring and series regular roles
