Online Class with Head Agent Tom Markley at Metropolitan Talent Agency

Tom Markley is the CEO and owner of Metropolitan Talent Agency, where he has worked since 2007. His first job in the industry was with Primary Stages in New York City, working on shows directed/written by Horton Foote, Daisy Foote, Connor McPherson, and Constance Congdon, among others. Upon moving to LA, he interned at Mystic Art Pictures on the film Prankstar directed and written by Tom Green, along with an internship at Voltage Pictures. At Metropolitan, Tom has had the privilege of working with a diverse and talented client list that has included such names as Debbie Reynolds, Jackée Harry, Raymond J Barry, and Seamus Dever.

Founded in 1982 by Christopher Barrett, Metropolitan Talent Agency is a full-service talent agency in Los Angeles, California. In 2017, long-time employees Tom Markley and Lauren Gibson took over ownership. The agency typically handles emerging, rather than established, talent for whom all potential jobs are important. Actors will perform their sides one-on-one with the reader to help better train for real world conditions.  They will receive customized notes and feedback from Devon, and then run selected sections again to incorporate the educational instruction.
