Lauren holds both elementary and secondary teaching credentials, has passed a California State exam on Child Labor Law and is a Certified Studio Teacher. Without question, Lauren is the most qualified and educated teacher for kids, teens and young adults in Los Angeles.
Originally from New Jersey, Lauren graduated from Monmouth University with degrees in Education and Communication.
As a Studio Teacher, Lauren is required to make sure that production follows the law and to report violations back to the State of California when necessary. In addition to teaching, these special teachers have the responsibility of caring and attending to the health, safety and morals of young actors and have the authority to pull a minor off a job if the rules are not being followed.
In addition, Lauren:
➥ Specializes in working with kid actors and young adults.
➥ Is experienced and trained to work with autistic and other special needs kids.
➥ Has worked in California, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, Louisiana and New Jersey as a Freelance Script Supervisor.
➥ Is certified to teach any subject grades k-8 and High School English in California and New Jersey and is an accomplished tutor in all subjects.
➥ Is currently working toward becoming a Nationally Board Certified Educator.
Additionally, Lauren studied Acting and Voice in NYC, with various teachers such as Penny Templeton, Hank Shobe, and Jane Seaman. It was then Lauren began performing Stand-up Comedy throughout New Jersey which lead to her performing Stand-up all over NYC most nights of the week.
As a comedian Lauren has been featured on E! Channels’ count down shows, specifically Forbes Celebrity Countdown, where she pokes fun of Oprah Winfrey, Bono, Johnny Depp and Keith Richards.
