Teen Workshop with Devon Brady

This is a special class for ages 11-18 with casting professional Devon Brady.

Devon Brady is currently working with multiple busy LA casting office that work in TV, Film, and New Media.

 

Our Teen Industry Workshop Program is an extension of the Kids & Teens Division at Actors Comedy Studio (ACS). Workshops are open to all young actors ages 11-18. Our Kids & Teens Division is headed by ACS Co-Founder and on-set Studio Teacher/Welfare Worker Lauren Bertoni, and supported by arts educator, audition coach and working actor Tiffany Berube. Lauren and Tiffany provide a supportive, nurturing environment for all of their students and are invested in helping them navigate the entertainment industry. Join us!

More about our guest, Devon Brady:

Since graduating from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University in 2013, Devon Brady has worked with and encountered multiple sides of the entertainment industry. He spent his first few years post-grad working in the HR / Administrative department of Lionsgate Entertainment. Following that, he tried his hand at management, working as an Associate Talent Manager at Bx2 Entertainment, where he helped coordinate and pursue work for on-camera personalities, social media influencers, and burgeoning actors. He has since transitioned into the world of casting, where he’s aided in assembling actors with the offices of Stiner / Block, Doro / Sherwood and Venus Kanani for shows such as Alexa & Katie (Netflix), the All That reboot (Nickelodeon), and Liza on Demand (YouTube Premium). Format Note: This class will take place entirely online via Zoom.

You will receive an email with the Zoom link at least 2 hours before class start time.

Sides Note: Prepared Reads – Choose Your Own Sides

Prepare any scene that has been pre-approved (or listed in the TEEN section on our Workshop Sides page). Your scene must not run longer than 3 minutes. You will perform your scene with our reader. Check out our FAQ’s page for more information on what material is allowed.

Prepare your scene as you would for a real audition! Actors will perform their sides one-on-one with the reader to help better train for real world conditions.  They will receive customized notes and feedback from Devon, and then run selected sections again to incorporate the educational instruction. Be sure to bring in your questions about the industry!
